I visited the Devonport Squash Centre in Tasmania and I must say it’s one of the best facilities I’ve been to. The access cards need to be arranged during council working hours, which is a bit inconvenient, but once you have it sorted, it’s worth it. The use of $1 coins for lights might be a hassle for some, but it’s a small price to pay for such a great facility. At $12 per hour, the cost is reasonable for the amenities provided.

The facility boasts a total of 8 courts, with 2 of them being glass back courts. The spacious and heated environment is well maintained, creating a comfortable atmosphere for playing. The clubs have good numbers in both racquetball and squash, and there’s a great variety of skill levels from beginner to highly competitive players. This diversity makes it a welcoming place for players of all levels.

I particularly enjoyed the 8 courts, with 2 of them being glass back courts. The presence of heat pumps ensures a consistently good temperature, which is essential for an enjoyable game. Overall, the facilities are top-notch and well-equipped. Having access to glass back courts is a significant advantage.

While the courts are in excellent condition, the reception is not always manned during indicated hours, which can be a downside. However, the staff is friendly and accommodating, making the overall experience pleasant. The friendliness of the staff contributes to the positive atmosphere of the center.
