I visited Snap Fitness 24/7 Mackay Central, and it’s a super nice spot for practicing fitness, cross-training, and classes. The gym is very big and clean with lots of well-maintained equipment, creating a good vibe. The staff and coaches were friendly and helpful, which added to the positive experience. I highly recommend this place based on my visit.

The gym has all the gear you could ever need, but I found it to be bloody expensive, almost twice as costly as my Jetts Gym membership. My loyalty to Jetts is strong due to the best equipment and value for money they provide, not to mention the international access with a fob key, which I find “BRILLIANT.”

However, I met disappointment in the staff at Snap Fitness. While the gym is well-designed and the equipment is serviceable, the “PT’s” and managerial staff have consistently let me down with issues related to my account, crèche usage, and membership status. I strongly feel that any other gym in Mackay would provide better service than what I experienced.

Snap Fitness offers great prices for regular membership, but be cautious of premium costs if you want access to the powerlifting or crossfit room. Additionally, the gym can be very messy with weights left everywhere, making it less appealing. For those interested in bodyweight training, a park might offer better equipment, but otherwise, the gym provides everything one needs and more.

On a positive note, I’ve enjoyed the wide variety of classes available weekly at Snap Fitness. The location in Canelands makes it easily accessible, and the staff, in my experience, has been super helpful and friendly since I signed up a few months ago. Overall, I can confidently say that I highly recommend this gym.
